Jill M. Krause Named a Professional of the Year in Human Resources
Ms. Krause has served as an employee advocate throughout her 15-year career
HOUSTON, TX, November 17, 2011 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Jill M. Krause, Global Director, Human Resources for Vinmar International, Ltd., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who as a Professional of the Year for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in human resources.
Ms. Krause was taught to "be strong and never give up on your dreams," at a very young age. Taking the value of hard work to heart, she began working full time when she was just 15 years old. The position required that she build robotic cables for F-16 fighter planes. She quickly realized that many of her coworkers were unhappy because of the lack of communication from management. The experience drove her to pursue a career in human resources — a profession that she now describes as "perfect" for her. An expert in workforce planning and change management, she now oversees and sets strategic direction in the development and execution of all global human resources operations in 20 countries for a $4B petrochemical trading company. She has been in her present position with Vinmar International, Ltd. for three months. She previously was responsible for 10 energy generation plants across the U.S., Mexico and Trinidad.
In the earliest stages of her career, Ms. Krause was determined to find a way to be an employee advocate. She realized that she also had to understand the needs of a business and how to communicate between management and the front line so that people would understand not just what was being done, but why the decisions were made. Thus, she received a bachelor's degree in business management from Northwood University in 1997, awarded magna cum laude, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2000. She is certified as an assessment administrator through the Center for Creative Leadership and is also a certified PDP administrator.
Ms. Krause feels she is where she is today because of per parents, who led by example and taught her the value of a hard day's work. Ms. Krause also attributes her success to her mentors, who dedicated their time to her growth and development.
Intending to continue excelling in her position in the years to come, Ms. Krause is proud to have been named a Professional Woman of the Year by the National Association of Professional Women and a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Human Resources for 2011-2012.
