Ms. Orischuk-Finot has amassed a wealth of experience in aviation since joining WestJet as a flight attendant in 1998. Having continually furthered her education and risen through the ranks, she is now the Director of In-Flight Operations for a charter airline that provides top-quality aviation and travel services on an international basis. In this capacity for the past three years, she has proved to be a superb ambassador of corporate culture to both new and existing employees. In addition, she has proved her expertise in the creation of high-performance teams, strategic manpower planning, employee engagement and regulatory compliance standards. She also manages "day of" operations, including crewing, scheduling, ground handling of aircraft movement, and on-time performance, attendance and conduct. With more than a decade's worth of experience under her belt, she ensures the smooth running of business aviation operations; she coaches and counsels employees, advises senior business leaders on standards and procedures relating to performance management and disciplinary action, participates in and facilitates disciplinary meetings, and examines, evaluates and tailors the recruiting process on an ongoing basis to custom-fit the business unit's requirements.

She also creates and implements the use of quality assurance principles, including improvement and feedback mechanisms, ensures the consistent and accurate application of all approved training programs, reviews and evaluates new company policies and procedures, expectations and or concerns, and provides training and leadership.

Ms. Orischuk-Finot continues to strive for excellence in her professional endeavors. Recently credentialed as a Certified Human Resources Professional, she also holds a Human Resources Certificate from Mount Royal University and is a Senior Graduate of the Landmark Education program. She is a member of the Human Resources Institute of Alberta, the Human Capital Institute, the Human Resources Management and Executive Network, and the global Directory of Online Training Professionals. She also supports a number of worthy causes and initiatives, such as the local Rotary Club; in addition, she is an advocate for pets. In the years to come, Ms. Orischuk-Finot hopes to become more involved in either human resources or operations, and remaining at the director level or progressing further. She attributes her success to her ability to overcome challenges, drive for improvement and community involvement. She acknowledges two amazing mentors in her career: Lisa Schmidt and Michele Derry. The most gratifying aspect of her career is finding opportunities to achieve success in an extremely regulated industry while maintaining a cost-conscious philosophy.
