Sandra Arseneault Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Sandra Arseneault's military experience enables her to thrive as the executive director of resourcing and development for the Ottawa Police Service
QUEBEC, QC, CANADA, October 7, 2010 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Sandra Arseneault, Executive Director of Resourcing and Development for the Ottawa Police Service, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in change management, strategic planning and leadership.
As the executive director of resourcing and development for the Ottawa Police Service, Sandra Arseneault is responsible for overseeing 70 staff members, completing human resources functions for 2,000 people, staffing, recruiting police officers and civilians, ensuring employee health and safety, offering training and professional development, and leading the human resource function of the organization. Ms. Arseneault is widely sought after as a presenter at the college, university, provincial and national levels. She led a change strategy program involving $8 million and upgraded to the organizational business system. She became involved in her profession after serving in the military for 19 years, serving in both the Navy and the Airforce and working in the field of health care for seven years, and she attributes her success to her continued learning and interactions with others.
Ms. Arseneault is pursuing a Doctor of Management in organizational leadership, having received a master's degree in defense policy and management from the Royal Military College of Canada in 2002. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, The Canadian Society for Training and Development, and the American Society for Training & Development and participates in the Chief Human Resources Officers' Round Table in the National Capital Region.
