Unity Bank Brings In Spontak To Ready Home Mortgage Dept.

Unity Bank has added Thomas Spontak to its home mortgage department in anticipation of growing activity in the housing sector over the coming months and into next year.

CLINTON, NJ, August 27, 2009 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Spontak, a 30-year veteran of the mortgage industry, has held senior loan officer positions with Allied Home Mortgage, Mountainside Mortgage, and First Colonial. Currently a resident of Dunellen, Spontak spent much of his early career with American General Finance after studying business and journalism at the University of Miami and Saint Francis College in Pennsylvania.

Commenting on the selection of Spontak, James Hughes, president of Unity Bank, put an emphasis on experience and "old-school values" in filling the position. "We like the fact that Tom has been a key contributor to this industry for decades and has an extensive knowledge of FHA guidelines," said Hughes. "He is also keenly sensitive to the needs of the families we've been providing financial advice to for as long as we've been a part the communities we serve, and that was extremely important to us."

Unity Bank began as First Community Bank in 1991 with two branches and thirty employees. It now employs over one hundred and sixty men and women in Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset, Union and Warren counties in New Jersey, and Northampton County in Pennsylvania.
