WEST PALM BEACH, FL, March 22, 2009 /Human Resources PR News/ -- Sandra Turnquest, Deputy Executive Director, Corporate Resources for South Florida Water Management District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of her career.
With thirty one years of professional experience, Sandra Turnquest specializes in executive management and organizational development, managing information technology, human resources, procurement, finance and administration, emergency management, security and safety. As the former HR director, she worked tirelessly with the senior management team to increase the amount of women and minorities in the agency. Additionally, she recommended the annual recognition of women during Women's History Month. This month, the agency has invited Peggy Quince, the first African American Supreme Court Justice of Florida to speak at the agency. She attributes her success to hard work and a desire to give back to her community.
Sandra Turnquest received her Master's Degree in Public Administration and her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and History from Florida A&M University. She is a trustee for Palm Healthcare Foundation, Inc. and a member of the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches, the National Forum for Black Public Administrators, the Society for Human Resource Management and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Ms. Turnquest volunteers at outreach ministries to feed the homeless.
