Ms. Rivera has 12 years of professional experience in purchasing, quality assurance, ensuring quality regarding turbines for steam and gas technologies and overseeing distribution, logistics and equipment supply management. She was a quality auditor at Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP for about nine years and a procurement specialist for seven years at DSC and Hewlett-Packard Development Company, LP, when she lived in Puerto Rico. She attributes her success to being a life long learner and to having perseverance when she had to move from Puerto Rico to the United States and start her career over again in a very challenging industry.
In 1998, Ms. Rivera received her Master of Business Administration in Human Resources and Industrial Management, Magna Cum Laude, from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 1989 and became a certified purchasing professional in 2007. Ms. Rivera is a member of the American Purchasing Society.
